Harry Potter fans are going to love this. You can enjoy the magic, sit and eat at one of those long tables in the Great Hall. Attend the Hogwarts Christmas Feast and Yule Ball at the very site where Harry Potter was filmed.
For any Harry Potter fans this will be the gift of a lifetime. Eat the same meals at the same location where once Harry Potter and his crew enjoyed their meals. The Christmas Feast is from December 11th to 13th.
But that’s not all. This year you can also dance at the Yules Ball. The decoration will be the same as in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.” You can thank Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter for this awesome treat. They first opened their doors in 2012 for the fans to tour the Harry Potter movie sets. From Nov. 18, 2017 until Jan. 28, 2018 the attraction runs under the name “Hogwarts in the Snow.” Do you believe in magic and predictions of good and bad omens? The real-life Hogwarts Christmas feast
The Great Hall is going to be lined with Christmas trees. Remember the long dining tables? They will be dressed as they were for seasonal feasts at Hogwarts. And with the same prop versions of roast turkeys, hams studded with cherries and even Christmas puddings surrounded by real flames.
The magical menu includes “chicken liver parfait with apple quince and toasted brioche” and “ballotine of roasted Norfolk turkey stuffed with cranberry, pistachio and pork with roasted potatoes and honey roasted root vegetables.” For the vegetarians among you, there will be alternatives.
You will find the Gryffindor Common Room decorated with original props, including some handmade christmas cards. And YES! Some of those cards were made by members of the cast. Throughout the tour there are several fireplaces, including those in the Leaky Cauldron and Great Hall. They will be lit with special effects fire, combination of water vapour and lighting effects.
For another special treat, you can touch samples of different kinds of snow they used during the making of the movies. Because for the Winter attraction it will snow on the Hogwarts castle model. Not real snow, though. It will be “moviesnow,” which is made up from grains of salt and granulated paper.
Last year’s decorations show you what to expect
Some of these Christmas cards were made by cast members during filming. They are going to be there again this year during Hogwarts Christmas feast and Yule Ball.
The Gryffindor Common Room. Do you recognize it? How about the headless mannequins. I’m sure you can identify them by their cloths. Which are the original cloths worn by Harry and his friends.
Release your inner wizard and have a hoot at the Yule Ball. You will be surrounded by the decorations from the iconic Yule Ball in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” which includes snow-covered Christmas trees and icicles. This is a great opportunity for muggles and wizards alike to dance the night away with magic in the air.
The Yule Ball is at the same location as the Hogwarts Christmas feast, which is in the Great Hall. On display in the centre of the Great Hall there is one of the beautiful Yule Ball sculptures. The sculptures are cast from resin and are surrounded by mounds of imitation ice on which sits an array of refreshments for guests. You will find the same decorations as they were in the Yule Ball during the movie. What’s more, you can dance to the music of the same orchestra of magical instruments that was used during the Triwizard Tournament.
